맞습니다.. 제가 잘못알고 있었군요^
알아본결과 애플에게 지불하고 라이센스를 획득하면 아이팟의 독포트의 USB핀으로부터
디지털 출력을 뽑을 수있는 소프트웨어와 칩을 공급 받을 수있다는 군요.
현재 국내의 모 업체도 이방법을 이용한 AV기기를 개발 중이랍니다.
에휴~ 아이팟의 포트에 남아돌아가는 핀도 있건만 그냥 디지털 출력을 쓸수있게
만들어주면 안되나.....ㅎㅎ

충분히 예상했던 소식이지만, 새로 나온 맥북에서 작동하는 Apogee Duet은 나오지 않는다고 d아포지 고객센터에서 확인받았습니다. 대신에 신형 프로북에서는 800/400 아답터 선을 이용할 때 아무런 문제가 없었다네요.

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delay. Apogee has tested Duet with the new MacBook Pro using a Firewire 400/800 cable and is happy to report that it works flawlessly. Unfortunately there is no way to make Duet work on the new MacBooks since they do not have Firewire ports. It would be impossible to redesign Duet for use with USB because USB does not provide enough voltage to power the Mic pre's and phantom power.

전 음악을 하는 사람이 아니라 DAC 기능에만 관심이 있던 건데, 좀 더 알아봐야겠습니다.
