맥용 도서, CD, DVD 카탈로그 프로그램으로 Delicious Library가 유명합니다. 매력적인 인터페이스와 iSight 연동으로 손쉽게 자신만의 소장 리스트를 정리할 수 있습니다. 하지만 Smart List가 지원되지 않는다는 점과 Amazon 등 외국 사이트에서만 검색이 가능하다는 점에서 2% 아쉬움을 주더군요.
대안을 찾던중 Bruji에서 나온 Pedia 시리즈를 주목하게 되었습니다. 각 분야별로 나뉜 BookPedia, CDpedia, DVDpedia, Gamepedia 4가지 카탈로그 프로그램이 있는데, Delicious Library에서 부족했던 2% 이상을 채워주더군요. Smart List 지원, Third-party Search Plugin 지원, 자유도 높은 필드값 수정, 유용한 문서나 파일의 링크 기능...
특히 주목한 점은 Third-party Search Plugin 지원입니다. Bruji 사이트에 있는 PluginExample 소스를 참고하여 국내 사이트에서도 검색이 가능하도록 Plugin을 작성해 보았습니다. 국내의 도서, CD, DVD 쇼핑몰 사이트를 여러군데 비교해 본 결과, 체계적인 ISDN 데이터베이스를 가지고 있는 알라딘을 선정하였습니다.
아래에 Pedia Search Plugins for Aladdin 1.0 버젼의 압축파일과 스크린샷을 올립니다. 대부분의 검색 테스트는 해보았지만, iSight가 없는 관계로 바코드 검색에 이상이 없는지는 확신하지 못하겠습니다. iSight가 있으시면 바코드 검색을 테스트해 보시고 이상여부를 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.
